Since it’s right next to the dining room, we knew it needed to sing the same blue-and-green symphony while standing out as its own cozy oasis. The client’s dream sectional, complete with a chaise, became the foundation of this room’s layout, creating an inviting place to relax (and let’s be honest, nap). But the true magic happened with the bookcases. We took pre-made beauties, gave them a little nip-and-tuck (bye-bye base molding!), and voilà—custom built-ins on a budget! And for focus? We said, “Move that TV!” and hung it above the fireplace, instantly turning the room into a soulful, intentional gathering space.

But we didn’t stop there, decWHOREators! The family’s beloved round chair got a stylish glow-up with some fabulous throw pillows!! (OH THE POWER OF PILLOWS!!)…..while under the window, we went bespoke with a custom console table designed to hold heaps of picture frames (because let’s face it, every frame tells a story!). Below it, the reupholstered ottomans tuck in like little treasures waiting to shine. We dressed the floor with a custom-fit carpet, then layered another rug on top for texture and dimension (because layering is the WHORE-way). This room is now the perfect blend of function, family, and fabulousness—a true love letter to comfort and style!
